"I am an Individualist!", - Atai Muratbekov
By Atai Muratbekov. ICP-108. This speech was made during the first "I am an Individualist" contest at AUCA in Bishkek.
I am an individualist. I believe that humans were born to create, not to crush. Everybody and every animal can crush anything. But, nobody can create the same thing as other person did.
Did you ever asked yourself, why the people are so different? I asked myself many times. Finally, I found the answer which pleased me. There is no need to be different if you intend to crush something, to use the old methods or to live in a given way. The people are different, because they are born to create. To create different things, to invent new things and to make changes. We are different and we must accept it and try to use its advantages by 100%.
I am an individualist. I believe that every human is equal to each other. Be you Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie or Janybek and Baktygul. All of you are equal. It is wrong to think that some people are talented and some are not. It is wrong to think that some people are better, and you are not. It is wrong to think that you cannot achieve what the other person achieved!
All of you are equal. I believe that each person has talents. The only thing is to find it! This process can be very long or short enough. Everything depends only on you!
Do you know what is the difference between Bred Pitt, who is lying at his house for millions of dollars, and Janybek, who is sitting in the apartment, for which he didn’t pay for almost three months?
The only difference between Janybek and Bred Pitt, is that Brad has already found his talent, he used it, he did what he can. While Janybek is still searching, and even worse justifying his actions as the “fate”.
I am an individualist. I believe that my life belongs to me and only me. It doesn’t belong to the neighbors, doesn’t belong to the state doesn’t belong to the society. And for surely, it is not the fate, loved phrase of all depressive people and parasites, that governs my life.
It is not the fate who came late for the class and got F for the exam! It is not the Fate who made the same mistake again! It is not the fate, it is the person who did it. It is us, me and you. Fate? What is it? It is the justification of all lazy people and parasites.
I am an Individualist! I am not a parasite! I believe that each person has given a treasure – which is the mind. We must use it. You must use it!
It seems very easy yes? You have the instrument and only thing is to use it. But, there a lot of people who do not do this. These are parasites. These are the worst enemies of the humanity ever existed. They are like leeches that drink our blood.
I am an individualist. I believe that each human is independent. When placing other people above yourself you voluntarily accepting that you are worse than them. That you depend on them. Is this the result you want???
For over centuries the people were fed by the myths like collectivism and Common good.
They are not possible things. We are independent, different beings.
There is no such thing as common good. We can cooperate; we can agree and do the things together. But, there is no such thing as the common good. Even if the groups of people are doing something together, each of them has their own goods, causes and aims.
I am an Individualist. I believe that the future of our country belongs to Individualists. I believe that the Society of Individualists will make difference and change our world to brighter one.
Our treasure is – our people!!! You heard this phrase many times. In TV, radio, newspapers, but did you ever asked what does it mean? I have asked myself and I believe that we, the individuals are the treasure of the country.
You were asking me who am I? I’ve already answered. Now, I’ll do more. I’ll tell who you are!
If you think that humans were born to create and make difference, and not for the destruction, than raise your hands,
Raise your hands, if you think that all humans are equal, and no one is better than other.
Raise your hands, if you think that your life belongs to you and only you.
Raise your hands, if you are not a parasite.
Raise your hands, if you are an independent person, with your own thoughts and ideas.
Now, look at your hands. You were asking who I am. I am an individualist! And who are you???

There is no such good as common good
First of all, there is such thing. It is air we breath. And why it is common in this privatized World so that every country rings alarm when it comes to global pollution? Because we live on one Planet.
Second, good speech, indeed very emotional and to some extent lacks analytical rigour.
