They shouted! Shouted that they are Individualist’s!

They shouted! Shouted that they are Individualist’s! I want to live in the country of Individualist’s where every Individual must pursue his own happiness and build his own future independently! Shouted the participants of “I am an Individualist” speech contest which took place on Friday the November 12th in the American University of Central Asia.

Objectivist Club at AUCAContest organized by the Objectivist Club of AUCA, gave the students of AUCA the opportunity to share their thoughts about Individualism. Surprisingly, all of the participants supported the Individualism except Marlen Alishev who stated that he is not an Individualist!

From the beginning of the contest speakers have argued that Individualism is good and must be considered by everyone. The winner of the contest Maksim Khier said: I think two people are equal not when they are dressed similarly, listen to the same music, have the same political views and salary, but when both of them have the right to choose how to dress, what to listen, what political party to support and earn as much money as they can! At the end of his speech Maksim said: We have to believe in ourselves as in independent individuals and respect the rights of others, and then our country will definitely prosper!!!

However, Maksim was not the only student who gave a great speech. Among eight speakers Atai Muratbekov with his own approach to individualism won the second prize and said in his speech: I am an individualist. I believe that my life belongs to me and only me. It doesn’t belong to the neighbors, doesn’t belong to the state doesn’t belong to the society!

Another speaker that shook the heart of audience and won the third prize was Ruslan Leontyev who said: I am an Individualist for the reason that I sacrificed everything to get my education. To fulfill my natural talents and passion for psychology, in the department I am studying now.

Although these speeches won the first three prizes every contestant had their own unique way of approach to Individualism. At the end of the speech contest participants were awarded with CDs “Ideas for a free Society” and books written by Sasha Tamm about Private Property which were given by the Central Asian Free Market Institute that has become the main sponsor and partner in the contest.

Ernis is a great individualist

Ernis,

Thank you very much for organizing this wonderful individualist speech contest. The quotes speak of the caliber of the speeches and I really wish that I was there. I recommend you send Anu a copy of the above release.

Cheers,
Seyit
